Vintages

The life of the domain can be divided into several periods.

Baptiste and Marguetite Clusel

From the 1930s to the 1950s. The Grandes-Places vineyard was planted. Bottling did not take place on the estate.

 

René and Joséphine Clusel

From the 1950s to 1986. Bottling started to take place on the estate in 1969. The wines were made with a blending of grapes from the Grandes-Places and Viallière vineyards.

GILBERT CLUSEL, VIGNERON

From 1980 to 1987.
Near the family's vinyard, Gilbert Clusel planted his own vines. All were in Viallière from 1980 to 1985, then Gilbert rented a few ares in Champon.

LE DOMAINE CLUSEL-ROCH, Gilbert Clusel, Brigitte Roch, Guillaume Clusel

Since the 1987 vintage.
Resumption of René Clusel's vineyards (Grandes Places, Viallière) and new plantations on rented vineyards of Champon, le Plomb, Fongeant and Tartaras. Since resumption and plantation of several plots on very beautiful slope of Montmain, first production in 2009. Organic certification procedure in 2002. Entrance of Guillaume Clusel in 2009, bringing his vineyards of Coteaux du Lyonnais. Development of this vineyard.

LA MAISON CLUSEL-ROCH, Guillaume Clusel

Since vintage 2014.

In 2014 he decides to become "negociant-vinificateur" and buying grapes to others wine growers to remedy the bad years and to open to others vineyards. He collaborates with wine growers whom he have faith, organic certified in the AOC "Coteaux du Lyonnais", and working in this spirit for AOC "Saint Joseph".
